The Crusaders overcame first-half foul trouble and an ice-cold 2nd quarter to grind out a 72-58 road win over Harbour View for their 4th straight league victory.

Both teams started the game in full-court defense but it was the Crusaders who were able to convert turnovers into points jumping out to a 23-13 lead after the first 10 minutes. In the 2nd quarter, with the KVHS big men on the bench with foul trouble, the Vikings, led by Gerry Bidgood, outscored the Crusaders by eight to cut the KVHS lead to 39-37.

In the 2nd half, the Crusaders were able to find an offensive rhythm. It started with senior forward Dallen MacDougall knocking down foul line jumpers to break the Vikings zone. After HVHS switched to man-to-man, it was the KV guards finding Noah Ozkayank at the rim for tough finishes in traffic.  The Crusaders outscored the Viking by six points in the 3rd quarter and by seven points in the 4th.
